Students follow a sequence of courses in operations, logistic and supply chain management tracks. They may also have the opportunity to participate in case competitions while earning this degree.
Master of Business Logistics Engineering
Graduates from this competitive business logistics engineering program - one of the few such programs in the nation - have the technical and managerial skills to undertake careers in logistics modeling or supply chain design. Students complete coursework in warehouse design, logistics technology, supply chain management and organizational behavior. This graduate program requires the completion of 41 credit hours.
Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration with Concentration in Logistics
Fisher's doctoral program in business administration allows students to choose one of several areas of concentration, including logistics. Students in the program gain advanced knowledge of business principles in informal, discussion-based courses.
Columbus State Community College
Columbus State Community College's business department offers a variety of certificate and degree programs to prepare graduates for entry-level work at these and other facilities in purchasing, logistics and operations management.
Supply Chain Management Certificate
Courses for the supply chain management certificate program are offered both on campus and online. Each course is designed according to the guidelines set forth by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professions, the Institute for Supply Management and the North American Small Business International Trader Educators, all of which provide certification exams. The 21-credit certificate program includes courses in international shipping, inventory management and strategic procurement. The program is designed to be completed in two semesters.
Associate of Applied Science in Supply Chain Management
The curriculum of the associate degree program in supply chain management emphasizes the competitive demands of the global economy. Coursework includes accounting, transportation management, marketing and international business. Technical electives offered as part of the supply chain management degree program - including international management and shipping - are available to enhance the international focus. This degree program requires the completion of 69 credits. Supply chain management students can also complete transfer agreements to transfer their credit towards a bachelor's degree at numerous Ohio universities.
Clark State Community College
Clark State Community College, located in nearby Springfield, offers both certificate and associate's degree programs in a variety of business subjects, including supply chain management. The school also offers many online courses.
Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certificate
Clark State Community College offers a 41-credit-hour certificate program in logistics and supply chain management; students in the program can also transfer these credits towards an associate degree in the subject. The program prepares students to secure employment in the field and takes about two years to complete. Coursework includes organizational behavior, business communication, distribution and negotiation.
Associate of Applied Business in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
This degree program is designed to provide a well-rounded education for students who wish to find entry- and supervisory-level positions in the field. Graduates may find work in purchasing, logistics and materials management. The 62-credit-hour program includes courses in business mathematics, accounting, economics and business strategy.
