Hillsborough Community College offers students the opportunity to pursue certificate and associate's degree programs. College Credit Certificate in Television Production
The television production certificate consists of 12 credits and provides students with basic training in the field. Students are required to complete four classes, including electronic field production, broadcast techniques, advanced TV studio production and advanced electronic field production.
College Credit Certificate in Broadcast Production
Students enrolled in this certificate program have an opportunity to learn through academic coursework and an internship. The program is 24 credits and requires students to complete courses in broadcast techniques, TV studio production, broadcast news, radio production and broadcasting and electronic field production.
Associate in Science in Digital Television and Media Production
Students enrolled in this A.S. degree program must complete 64 credit hours prior to graduation, including general education classes, an introduction to broadcasting, a broadcasting practicum and two radio and television internships. The A.S. program is designed for students who wish to gain immediate employment in the television industry after graduation or transfer credits to a 4-year undergraduate program.
