The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a graduate business degree offered by many well-ranked colleges and universities across the nation. MBA programs generally require two years of graduate study and include courses in accounting, finance, marketing, management and information technology. 1. Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts

U.S. News and World Report ranked Harvard University first in the nation among the best business schools in the country in 2009. In 2008, Harvard Business School was ranked second in the nation in Business Week's list of the top business schools in the U.S. The school is over a century old and well-known for offering case-based curriculum and churning out successful graduates. 2. University of Chicago Booth School of Business in Illinois

In 2008, the Booth School of Business was named the country's top business school by Business Week based on a number of factors, including academic rigor, recruiter relationships and dedication to excellence. In 2009, it also ranked fifth in a list of the best business schools in the country by U.S. News and World Report, which examined 426 MBA programs to compile the results. Founded in 1898, Booth School of Business offers a unrivaled faculty and boasts nearly 43,000 accomplished graduates. The University of Chicago Booth School of Business offers full-time, weekend and evening business program options, as well as an executive MBA.
