A private university founded in the Jesuit Catholic tradition, Marquette University is located in Milwaukee, the largest city in the state. The university's academic reputation has risen considerably in recent years earning it an 82nd overall ranking in America's Best Colleges list. Marquette's business programs are particularly well regarded nationally.

Located on an 80-acre campus, Marquette has an undergraduate population of over 8,000 students. The university offers a close-knit community with over half of students living in university-affiliated housing. Its location in the University Hill neighborhood provides the comfort and convenience of many local shops, restaurants, and coffee houses. Students also enjoy easy access to both downtown Milwaukee and outdoor recreation opportunities.
