Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio approximately 40 miles north of Cincinnati. The most popular undergraduate majors are business, education, social sciences, biological sciences and psychology. Miami University offers bachelors, masters and doctoral level degree programs.

Miami University is a public institution in Oxford, a small city in southwestern Ohio. Founded in 1809, it is one of the ten oldest colleges and universities in the nation. Miami is unique in that it features an intensive focus on undergraduate education. The school is very well known for the efficacy of these programs and earned a national ranking of #67 in the America's Best Colleges report.

Miami University is the site of impressive academic facilities, not to mention numerous performance venues, galleries and valuable collections on campus and in surrounding Oxford. The school is very much a residential college with nearly half of students living in university housing. Many students also participate in at least one of the 350 student organizations that operate at the school.

Miami offers bachelor's degree programs in more than 100 majors through six schools and colleges. Master's and doctoral programs are available in more than 50 academic areas. Popular majors among undergraduates include business, education, social sciences, biological sciences and psychology.

Home to 14,000 undergraduate students, Miami is one of the 'more selective' schools in the nation. It has an overall acceptance rate of 78 percent. Incoming students have a grade point average of 3.7 and typically have SAT scores ranging from 1110 to 1300 and ACT scores between 24 and 29.
