Montana State University Video Review

Montana State University is a public land-grant institution in Bozeman, a city of about 30,000 in the southwestern part of the state. The Bozeman campus is the flagship institution of the Montana State University System and is ranked in America's Best Colleges list of 2008. The school offers comprehensive academic studies and quality research programs.

Montana State offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs through eight colleges. Popular undergraduate majors include business, engineering, health sciences, education and visual and performing arts.

Montana State's Bozeman campus covers nearly 1,200 acres in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The city has a small community feel that provides amenities such as museums, performance halls and other cultural institutions, usually found only in larger cities. Students make up a high percentage of the area's population making for a college town atmosphere. Some 140 campus organizations allow students to pursue their interests, including intramural sports, the arts, and outdoor activities that take advantage of the mountains and rivers that surround the school.

Montana State has an undergraduate student body of nearly 11,000 at its Bozeman campus. It is considered a 'selective' school, with a freshman acceptance rate of 66 percent. Incoming students have a grade point average of 3.0 and generally score in the 990 to 1240 range on the SAT and between 20 and 26 on the ACT.
