Rutgers University is located across three campuses in New Brunswick, Newark and Camden, New Jersey. The most popular majors for undergraduates are social sciences, communications, biology, engineering and psychology. Rutgers University offers students numerous bachelors, masters and doctorate degree programs.

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, commonly referred to as Rutgers University, is a public institution with campuses in New Brunswick, Newark and Camden. It is the largest institution in New Jersey's state university system. The school has a strong academic and research reputation and ranks #59 overall on the America's Best Colleges list.

Rutgers is known to be among the most diverse university campuses in the nation. Nearly half of undergraduates live in university housing with many participating in a wide variety of activities offered through 350 campus organizations.

Rutgers University offers more than 100 bachelor's degree programs through 10 schools and colleges. Capitalizing on the school's research capabilities, more than 150 master's and doctoral degree programs are also available. Popular undergraduate majors include social sciences, communications, biology, engineering and psychology.

Rutgers University has an undergraduate student body of more than 26,000 at its flagship New Brunswick campus. It is one of the 'more selective' schools in the nation with a freshman acceptance rate of 58 percent. Incoming students generally score between 1100 and 1320 on the SAT.
